remote support

let me see your screen and sort it out

If I've asked you to visit this page, it means I need to connect to your computer remotely so I can see what's going on and fix things for you. It's quick, safe and built into Windows - no downloads needed.

We'll use Quick Assist, a Microsoft tool that lets me view or control your screen with your permission. You stay in control the whole time and can end the session whenever you like.

how to connect

quickest way

Ctrl + Win + Q

press all three keys together to open quick assist

1
Open Quick Assist by pressing Ctrl + Win + Q on your keyboard. If that doesn't work, click the Start menu and type Quick Assist, then open it from the results.
2
Click "Get help" and sign in with your Microsoft account if asked. Don't worry if you don't have one - just click through the prompts.
3
Enter the security code that I give you over the phone or by email. It's a 6-digit code and it expires after 10 minutes, so make sure we're on a call together when you do this.
4
Allow the connection when prompted. You'll see a request asking if you want to let me view or control your screen. Click Allow and I'll be connected.
5
That's it. I can now see your screen and we'll work through the issue together. You can pause or end the session at any time using the toolbar at the top of your screen.

can't find quick assist?

Quick Assist comes pre-installed on Windows 10 and 11. If it's not there for some reason, you can grab it from the Microsoft Store:

Quick Assist is a Windows-only tool. If you're on a Mac, let me know and I'll send you an alternative link. Your privacy matters - I can only see your screen while the session is active, and you're in control the whole time.
