I'm Laurence. I'm based in Ramsbottom, Greater Manchester and I help small businesses across Bury, Prestwich, Whitefield, Rochdale, Bolton and the wider Greater Manchester area get online and stay online.
If you need a website, business email, hosting, or just someone to call when something isn't working, that's what I do. You deal with me directly, every time. And when a project needs something outside my core skills, I have a trusted network of specialists I can bring in.
I spent over 20 years in IT, most of it leading teams and running operations for some fairly large companies. Boardrooms, strategy meetings, service desks with hundreds of staff. It was good experience but I got tired of the politics. I wanted to actually help people, not sit in endless meetings about increasing revenue. I didn't get into IT to chase targets. I got into it to fix things.
Small businesses are where I can make a real difference. Most of my clients just want a website that looks good, an email address that works, and someone who picks up the phone when they need help. That's not complicated, and it shouldn't cost a fortune.
Someone who's been doing this for over 20 years and knows what they're doing. I'm certified in cyber security, IT governance, service management and more. I don't mention that to show off. I mention it because when I build your website or set up your email, it's done properly. Security, compliance, best practice, no corners cut.
But more importantly, you're getting someone local who genuinely cares that your business does well. I'm not going anywhere.
If you're thinking about getting a website, sorting your email out, or just want some honest advice about your IT, drop me a message. No pressure, no hard sell. Just a conversation.
You can also find me on LinkedIn. Or if you've got five minutes to waste, I built something else too.
"I asked for a website. He asked me 40 questions about my business I'd never thought of. Then he built exactly what I needed. Annoying, really."
Janet M., reluctantly impressed"My previous IT person took three weeks to reply to an email. Laurence replied in four minutes. I wasn't emotionally prepared for that level of service."
Graham T., still recovering"He explained what DNS was and I actually understood it. I've been dining out on that knowledge ever since. People think I'm technical now. I'm not. I just know a good IT person."
Caroline P., dangerously overconfident"My nephew said he'd build me a website for free. Six months later I had nothing. Laurence had the whole thing done in a week. My nephew has been demoted to second favourite relative."
Barbara K., firm but fair"I rang him on a Saturday because my email wasn't working. Turned out I'd typed my own password wrong. He didn't judge me. Five stars for the restraint alone."
David H., humbled"We went from not being on Google at all to the first page in about a month. My competitor rang to ask who was doing my website. I didn't tell him."
Steve R., quietly smug"I told him my budget was small. He didn't flinch, didn't try to upsell me, didn't suggest I 'invest in my brand journey.' He just built me a lovely website for what I could afford. Revolutionary concept, apparently."
Michelle W., pleasantly surprised"Four stars because he made the website so good that now I actually have to reply to enquiries. I wasn't ready for success. That's on him."
Colin F., busier than planned
